I hope you have a wonderful day with your family, I am spending the day with my mother who is 88 and my son… my daughter still in Sweden , school almost done, hopefully home soon.

I have a cold/flu for the last week and I am looking forward to some rest and painting this weekend.

Remember the chairs I bought last summer, at a garage sale?

I have been working on them  slowly and they will be ready soon. I chose  French Linen from Annie Sloan Chalk Paint  and I found some exciting fabric. I hope to have them finished this week. It is has been a while , the painting the easy part the fabric took some hunting.

A had a few hours last weekend to get some work done. I was able to work on a couple projects that I have been wanting to do for sometime.

A little bench/ stool with lovely cabriolet  legs with the French laundered panel. Coco from Annie Sloan chalk paint with some clear and dark wax

The other a lovely old frame but it was spray painted with a Brassy gold colour ,  I used three different colours of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, Antoinette,Pure White and French Linen, and a bit of dark wax

The paint went over the surface with no issues. Each time I use it and it always amazes me that there are no problems .

I seem to have an obession with mirrors, all types and all sizes. I like them because decorating with mirros is a great way to bring style to any room.

Here are few of my reasons

1. in addition to providing and alterantive to wallart, mirrors offer the addtitional benefit of addint light to any room.

2. think big ! the bigger the mirror the more light in can reflect, not only will there be light refection but i can also make a room look much larger.

3. mirrors can also provide a focal point , and will help to anchor  all of the other decorative elements  of the room.
