Spooners or spoon holders are from the Victorian era. They provided symbolic value as well as function for Victorian Society . The prominently displayed spoons were  a symbol of hospitality and status .

I love spoon holders especially the clear  glass ones. I use them to hold dessert forks and spoons when I am doing a buffet dinner, but I also love them as  vases to hold some hand picked flowers from the garden.

Here are a couple of new ones in the store.
